Top 5 ADSL and VDSL ISP speeds in South Africa

South Africa ISPs

The latest MyBroadband speed test results show that Internet Solutions and Axxess recorded the highest average ADSL and VDSL download speeds respectively.

MyBroadband’s speed test servers use Ookla’s platform and are hosted in Teraco’s vendor-neutral data centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Through NapAfrica, all network operators present at its peering points are provided with a free 1Gbps connection to the MyBroadband speed test platform.

To ensure that only results from broadband connections are used, MyBroadband filters speed tests based on network information from the Internet service providers.

With over 40,000 speed tests conducted each month, the MyBroadband speed test platform is a popular destination for South Africans to gauge their Internet services.
