MSI launches RTX 50 series gaming laptops

MSI has launched a lineup of gaming laptops featuring Nvidia’s RTX 50 series graphics cards with designs inspired by Norse Mythology.

The manufacturer’s regional sales and marketing manager, Steven Yang, said the laptops are intended for a diverse range of uses, from gamers looking for an immersive experience to high-end professional work.

MSI’s latest gaming laptops will provide upgraded models to the Titan, Raider, Stealth, Venture, and Vector series.

The Titan 18 HX, which features a handpainted dragon design on the back, comes equipped with Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX graphics card and an Intel Core Ultra 200HX processor, with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU) and 400W power adapter.

It also features four SSD card slots with up to 18,000MB per second speeds and a vapour chamber cooling system delivering up to 270W of combined CPU and GPU performance.

“For AI model training, sustained performance is just as crucial as raw power,” says Dr Min-Chun Hu, a technical consultant at AI startup NeuinX.

“The MSI Titan 18 delivers both, offering outstanding stability during long hours of high-load training without overheating. It’s ideal for AI professionals and companies requiring consistent high-performance computing.”

MSI’s Raider series gives buyers the option of either the AMD Ryzen 9,000HX/9000HX3D or the Intel Ultra 200HX processors paired with the Nvidia RTX 50 graphics card.

The laptops are equipped with a pre-calibrated 4K, 120Hz Mini LED display and support high-speed DR5 6400 CSODIMM RAM.

The manufacturer’s AVP of its laptop product department says the Raider laptops maximise performance for competitive gaming, and the seven-heat-pipe cooling system allows for smooth, lag-free gameplay.

MSI’s Stealth series focuses on the mobility of the laptop, designed with a lightweight magnesium-aluminium chassis.

Buyers can choose an AMD Ryzen AI 300 or Intel Core Ultra 200H processor in addition to the RTX 50 graphics card. MSI uses its Cooler Boost 5 technology in the Stealth series to keep everything running smoothly.

Ubisoft’s Assasins Creed Producer, Evgen Skachkov, describes the MSI Stealth 18 as delivering desktop-level power in a slim form and ensuring stable performance, “even during extended debugging sessions and computation.”

The Vector series, which MSI says has been optimised for STEM and creative experts, features dedicated SSD cooling that allows for high-speed read and write performance.

Like the Raider series, buyers can choose between the Intel Core Ultra 200HX and AMD Ryzen 9,000 processors, which will operate with the RTX 50 GPUs.

“Working with graphically demanding software like Substance 3D requires cutting-edge hardware,” says Adobe’s senior creative 3D evangelist, Vladimir Petkovic.

“The MSI Vector HX AI not only provides real-time responsiveness but also offers excellent expandability for memory and storage, making it a high-end portable workstation for creative professionals.”

Finally, MSI has also designed the Venture and Venture Pro models, which feature the RTX 50 GPU, for the general user who needs high performance.

These devices offer buyers the choice of an Intel Core Ultra 200H or AMD Ryzen AI 300 CPU.

They are also equipped with OLED touchscreens, upgradable memory, and a 90Wh battery with MSI’s Battery Boost technology. MSI notes that a built-in AI engine further optimises power, the device’s display, and workflow efficiency.
