Big DStv channel changes
MultiChoice has announced that DStv Compact customers will get access to five new channels and an extra stream, allowing them to stream on two devices simultaneously from 1 April 2025.
The new DStv Compact channels include SuperSport Action on channel 210, Africa Magic Showcase on 151, CBS Justice on 170, Curiosity Channel on 185, and History Channel on 186.
“Five new channels are coming to DStv Compact from 1 April 2025, bringing more entertainment variety to customers looking for the best live and on-demand local and international entertainment,” said MultiChoice.
“Spanning kids, movies, music, news, lifestyle, sport and more, DStv compact is already an excellent viewing experience, and the five new channels and extra concurrent stream add even more value for customers.”
In addition to the new channels and extra stream, DStv Compact customers will also qualify for a 40% discount on MultiChoice-owned streaming platform Showmax.
“Customers will enjoy a 40% discount on Showmax, providing affordable access to a huge library of movies, series, and other content on-demand,” said MultiChoice.
Decoder customers opting for a 24-month contract also benefit from discounted subscription rates.
MultiChoice also announced channel changes for DStv Family, DStv Access, and DStv EasyView customers from 1 April 2025. These packages will also enjoy extra channels.
“DStv Family viewers get more laughs on Comedy Central (122) with The Neighbours, Becker, The Daily Show, and South Park; home improvement on HGTV (177) with Christina on the Coast and What’s Wrong with that House,” said MultiChoice.
DStv Family will also get the Disney Channel on 303, enabling subscribers to watch content like The Wizards of Waverly Place, Phineas and Ferb, and Coop and Cami Ask the World.
“DStv Access adds Zee World (166) for Bollywood drama and romance, and Nicktoons (308) with SpongeBob SquarePants, while DStv EasyView welcomes SuperSport Schools (216), showcasing South Africa’s rising sports stars,” added MultiChoice.
