NTT Data appoints new managing executive for South Africa

Multinational IT giant NTT Data has announced the appointment of Amantha Naidoo as its managing executive for South Africa, effective 1 May 2025.

She took on the position after working as an independent digital and business transformation advisor. In her new position at NTT Data, she will drive its growth and strategy execution in South Africa.

Naidoo will also support the company’s broader mid-term plan for the fiscal years 2025 to 2027 and beyond.

She has over 20 years of experience in strategy, consulting, and digital transformation. As an independent advisor, she has provided services to organisations across the continent.

Before that, she held several senior leadership positions at Accenture, another multinational IT giant, including Senior Managing Director (Banking Lead) and Africa & Financial Services Strategy and Consulting Lead.

NTT Data says her experience includes designing large-scale banking transformation programmes, establishing strategic joint ventures, and driving double-digit growth in new industries.

Naidoo holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently pursuing advanced studies in Executive Coaching at the University of Cambridge.

“We are delighted to welcome Amantha to NTT DATA,” said Alan Turnley-Jones, NTT Data CEO for the Middle East and Africa.

“Her exceptional track record in business transformation, strategic leadership, and deep expertise across multiple industries aligns with NTT Data’s vision to offer industry-specific end-to-end solutions, complementing our existing strength in systems integration track record.”
